Sample Agenda Slides with Rubric, Exemplars & Other Resources

This unit guides students through the process of:
  • planning and crafting original narratives using graphic organizers and key storytelling techniques
  • applying plot structure and narrative devices such as sensory details, dialogue, vivid vocabulary, and figurative language
  • finding and fixing writing errors in grammar and mechanics
  • using feedback and resources to revise and edit their work

A 4-level rubric supports self-assessment and growth, helping students move from basic story planning to polished, expressive narratives. See link below to learn more by viewing teacher created agenda slides used to introduce and conduct this unit in an 8th grade Language Arts classroom setting.
