Assessing Faculty Attitudes on Educational Technology
According to the surveyed faculty, the primary reasons that educational technology tools have not been adopted in the classroom was due to limited resources (43%), and lack of familiarity (52%). Only 39% of faculty felt they did not have the time to devote to educating themselves on how to use the tools. The response to professional development measures was positive, with 61% feeling that a mix of both web training and in-person classroom sessions would be beneficial. None of the faculty reported disinterest in acquiring these skills.
