What is HI-LEARNING?
(High-Impact Learning)

Picture

It has become evident that educational technology tools at the post-graduate level are not utilized as effective tools for "High Impact Learning," despite the increasing demand from the accreditation committees to integrate technology into pedagogy. Although we are aware that identifiers of an "excellent education" are no longer linear, outdated educational practices do little to foster essential "Habits of Mind," which include the ability to think critically, analyze and apply information in an authentic way, synthesize divergent views, communicate effectively, and engage in active learning. Accreditation committees of various degree programs explicitly outline the need for technology-based interdisciplinary learning yet many institutions fail to successfully employ and meet this demand.
