I also want to thank all of my professors for all their support and encouragement throughout this program from beginning to end. The caring and motivating attitude you lead by is truly inspiring. Thank you Dr. Helen Hawley, Brenna Curtis, Scott Marsden, Jane Gould, Roger Pence, Dr. Pamela Redmond, and everyone working behind the scenes to make sure the program ran smoothly. I was not only able to advance in my learning with technology but also on how to address needs in my classroom differently, without being afraid of mistakes or things I don't understand.
Next Steps
One of the most important takeaways from this program has been the ability to access tools that allow me to take action when I have an inquiry. I have had the chance to engage in research based on needs I see in the classroom, and going through this research has opened up many more questions that I intend to explore. Even though the program has ended, it has left me with the experience and motivation to continue my own research to better teach my students.
I intend to continue applying what I learned through my research and make modification depending on my students. I also plan on observing and researching the use of technology applied to other areas of my teaching. After collaborating with teachers in my cohort and observing their own research come to life, I plan on going further into using technology to observe impact on reading, goal setting, flipped classroom, and other interesting inquiries that my colleagues looked into.
I also plan on sharing what I have learned with teacher at my site as well as teachers from other schools with other expertise. I want to possibly collaborate with teachers from around the world that have tried innovative uses of technology in their classroom.
