Incorporating 21st Century technology tools and applications into AVID strategies has always intrigued me. Why has AVID not been on board with technology? Would engagement and retention be higher with the infusion of blogging, skyping, and interactive websites? Could the use of technology enhance all of the AVID strategies and help with engagement and retention of concepts in the classroom? I want to be a part of the change that merges technology with AVID strategies so that they are relevant to the 21st century learner.
