There are many ways to go about assessing your students. Initially when quizzing my students on vocabulary that they had learnt using tech tools, such as Quizlet, I would give them a paper quiz and the students had to write either the French or English equivalent of what was given. As I started to become more familiar with tech tools, I decided to use Google forms for very simple quizzes. Often if students had been learning these words using the app Quizizz, I would use the exact same questions, but just as part of a google form. When I embarked on my capstone project, I thought that this wasn't enough, and decided that a rubric was in order. Below is a copy of the rubric that I designed. When learning language, communication is very important, and so that made up a significant part of my rubric. The use of tech tools was assessed, but this was a small part of the overall rubric. The idea was that students were using technology to make their presentations more effective and successful, and were not using technology for the sake of it.

Survey Results:
I gave my students a survey to assess their thoughts and opinions with regard to using tech tools and music in the classroom. I wanted to know if they felt that it had really helped them learn more and better. I wanted to know how they felt about their learning too. The bar graph below shows that 100% of students felt that Quizlet enhanced their learning this year, with Quizizz coming a close second with 80%. 
The results below show that at least 90% of students believe that using tech tools and music makes learning more fun than traditional teaching methods. 
The bar graph below shows that at least 80% of students believe that listening to music in French helped them learn new vocabulary more readily: 
The results of this survey question show that at least 90% of students believe that listening to French music has helped them with pronunciation of words. 
Below are the results of how students felt about using Google forms to take a quiz: 90% liked the fact that it gave instant feedback, 75% found it less stressful than a regular quiz and 78% preferred it.
