Design Process![]() My Learners
The study took place during the 17-18 school year in a 4th grade classroom in California. The class consisted of 18 students with 1:1 Chromebooks and 8 iPads with access to Google Classroom, Add Ons, and Extensions. The Process During my first semester I asked the question, "How does a technology tool affect student engagement with learning to read? I found that my data should me there was very little growth when my students used a specific technology tool. I decided there needed to be more teacher instruction and modified my question for the last semester. I wanted to use a tool that allowed for multiple tools all within one application. I found myself working more with Google Classroom and everything within it. That's when I focused my question to, "Can the implementation of Google Classroom increase the literacy skills of my students?" Using Mindmeister, I created a Mind Map and a presentation to deepen my understanding of my research question. My Site Model helped me begin the process by brainstorming what needed to be accomplished during the research process. My Logo When creating my logo, I wanted an image that represented technology and learning. As a teacher, I always want to see the "light bulb" go on above my students throughout the learning process. |
