Teacher-Student Relationship Building | Lessons

Lessons:
Although research has shown that teacher-student relationship (TSR) building is essential, there are few articulated or defined ways to instruct and support teachers on how to build authentic trusting relationships with their students. One of the primary reasons I chose TSR building as my action research project was to address this void in practice and professional development. There are very few TSR-building curriculums that provide teachers with a step-by-step methodology to create authentic relationships with their students. The developers of Along, Gradient Learning, asserts that when the program is used consistently, the Along reflection tool successfully provides teachers and staff the means to build meaningful relationships with their students. This lessons site will explain in detail the first-of-its-kind Along digital reflective tool I used in my study. My How-Tos page (linked) will focus on how to use and set-up the Along program at your school or district.
