Collaboration/Differentiation Home Learn More Standards Inspiration About the Author |
Design ProcessIt is my hope inspire or spark other professionals curiosity about collaboration and differentiation. I learned that these two areas go hand in hand especially with embedded technology collaboration and differentiation happen without investing too long. Just some planning and sorting out the technology to be used. Maybe exploring one or two at a time will be less time consuming.
This was my initial logo. I wanted it to have pictures of children in it, but I purchased it from a pre-made logo company, so I couldn't add nor delete from it.
I wanted to add something to reflect differentiation, but I couldn't change it. 
I eventually designed the second logo, which is very similar to my final logo. This logo represents technology, collaboration and the pencil represents scholars. I used the easiest site for logo design called: "Logomakr" I highly recommend this site if you'd like an easy way to design a logo. It is manageable and it only costs a few dollars. I edited thanks to the collaboration of my cohort members.
This is my final logo. The children holding hands represents collaboration. The computer represents technology. The headphones and the art pallette represent the different learning styles. Visual, kinesthetic, and auditory. The computer next to the girl and the palette next to the boy represents gender equality.

During my Collaboration and Differentiation research and observation, I created a mind-map to help me decide which technologies I was going to explore. I wasn't able to implement everything in the classroom during my action research, but I was able to explore the following tools. The websites listed below were key in helping me understand collaboration and differentiation. These sites offer articles on PBL and Collaboration and differentiation. Seeing other professionals share their experiences and lessons was powerful. Having a mind-map helped me with my plan and it gave ideas about what technologies to continue to use and explore.
