Next Steps
The school year of 2017-2018 was a learning year. I was fortunate to learn and play with many technology tools. I would like to continue learning and perfecting my skills in what I know, but also try and learn new things that I wasn't able to grasp this year. My first priority is that I want to share my knowledge with my colleagues at the school where I work.
Here is a timeline of my goals for the beginning of next school year 2018-2019. August -October: Introduce teachers to the ILL website, TPACK, and the evolution of technology August -October: introduce teachers to Common Sense Media Website and encourage all students grade 3-5 to obtain the Digital Citizen Passport November-December: Introduce grades 3-5, to Google Classroom January -February: Show teachers how to create mini assessments on Google forms and use the Add-on Flubaroo to organize their class data. Never in a million years would I have imagined getting my Masters in Education. With two kids in college at the time, going back to school was not a realistic dream. Then I learned about the wonderful organization of Napa Learns, and their goal for improving student education in public schools.
