SAMR ModelThe SAMR model is a rubric for educators to evaluate how they are incorporating technology into their instructional practices. I used this model to evaluate incorporation of technology into my Capstone Project. If the SAMR model could speak, it would ask a teacher, "Are you substituting pencil and paper for digital text or are you redefining what pencil and paper looks like through the creation of new technological tasks previously inconceivable?" Whether you are substituting, augmenting, modifying, or redefining technology use in your classroom, it is helpful to be aware of where you are on the SAMR ladder.
