The ISTE Standards provide the competencies for learning, teaching, and leading with technology, serving as a comprehensive road map for effective technology use in schools worldwide. This project leveraged these standards to ensure that integrating AI within the UDL framework fostered high-impact, sustainable, scalable, and equitable learning experiences.

​The ISTE Standards are grounded in learning science research and based on practitioner experience, these standards have been used, studied, and updated for over 20 years to reflect the latest research-based best practices. Aligned with UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals and available in nine languages, these standards guide the successful use of technology to learn, teach, lead, and coach.
