5 Critical Mistakes Schools Make With iPads (And How To Correct Them)
From Tom on Edudemic
A must read if you are using iPads in your classroom.

Edutopia: iPad Apps in the Classroom
by Mary Beth Hertz
Ms. Hertz does a good job identifying the role of apps as learning tools, how to guide the selection of apps and how to use them as learning tools.
  1. Establish the learning goal.
  2. What do you want students to do?  Practice, access information, or create a project
  3. Select the apps that best meet the learning goal.

“The IPad AS…..”
From edtechteacher-21st Century Learning

A very good review of the iPad as a learning tool.
They have a great list of learning objectives for use on the iPad in an easy to access table format.  Each learning objective is posed as a question: “I want my students to…..” The list is “driven by specific learning goals that promote critical-thinking, creativity, collaboration, and the creation of student centric learning environments.”    I am using this list as a reference for choosing movie making apps that I might use in a video project I am about to do with our 6th grade ‘digital buddies’.
