Language Learning in the 21st Century

The purpose of this project is to provide a pedagogical approach in how to implement technology in order to support second language acquisition that reflects 21st century teaching and learning. The website will also provide a place where educators can obtain information and resources for their classrooms. In addition, it is a venue for professional collaboration among teachers where they can share ideas, information, opinions and experiences incorporating technology in their classrooms to enhance language learning.

Fun, Purposeful & Meaningful.

All I ever wanted was for students to appreciate and enjoy learning new languages, and in order to accomplish this mission, I needed to create a learning environment that is fun, positive, and risk-free of making errors so that students can develop their communicative competence. Also,  whatever I created or designed for language learning, it needed to have an authentic purpose, and that my students found meaning of what they where learning and doing in class. With this in mind, the Innovative Learning program at Touro University gave me the support and direction needed to conduct my research and begin experimentation.
