Voki Characters If you are interested in creating Voki characters to use with your students this tutorial walks you through the process one step at a time. The free version does limit you to three characters, but they are highly engaging for students and worth a try if you have never used them before.
Google Forms/Surveys This is a great way to gather data quickly in a spreadsheet format or with graphics. There is also a grading feature that you are able to set up prior to giving the assessment for immediate student feedback. I also highly recommend the check in-out add on and the choice eliminator. I have found these to be extremely helpful with creating sign in/out sheets for bathroom and library books as well as donation lists for projects or parties. If you haven't tried Google forms in your classroom here is a brief tutorial that walks you through the basic feature Google offers.
Google Classroom This is a great way to organize and deliver digital assignments or links to commonly used websites (save in the 'About' section). Every year I use my Google classroom more and more. I can't image not using it as my students are accessing more and more technology every year. Watch this short video on on to set up your own Google classroom if you haven't tried it. Once you have your class set up it can also be a benefit to using other website such as grammarly which is a free adaptive grammar program. You are able to set it up in just a few minutes when your student are already in a Google classroom.
