Common Core State Standards and NGSS
The Common Core and NGSS standards, while different, share similar goals. They should be thought of as working side by side with each other as teachers help students build skills like using evidence to back up claims in their writing. In science class students should always be given the opportunity to show their learning through their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
