Community Support and Next Steps
Within the community of special educators, there are many forums where educators can share their ideas and experiences. Edmodo has a very active community which is accessible directly from the Edmodo home page. There are is also a very active communities on Twitter, such as Twitter.com/education_iep. These are are just a few of the mostly widely used resources I have used, will continue to use, and highly recommend for obtaining and sharing useful ideas with special education colleagues around the world. Other sources of community support has been the Juan Crespi Parents Club and Donors Choose. I have found that parent teacher organizations, individuals, and corporations have been very generous in funding grant requests to provide badly needed curriculum and books for my classroom.
