TPACK

TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It describes the kinds of knowledge that a teacher needs to have in a technologically enhanced learning environment. Most of my education prior to enrolling in the Master's in Innovative Learning program at Touro University California involved developing knowledge of content areas and of traditional pedagogical techniques. I learned most of the content area knowledge during my undergraduate years and as a life long learner. The credential programs I pursued later in life focused on traditional pedagogical techniques. Over the past couple of years, I have building my technological knowledge and my ability to use newer technologies to better teach content areas. A few of my most successful explorations in this area have involved having the students create projects in Animoto and advance their reading skills using Moby Max.
