Common Core State Standards

The Common Core Initiative began in 2009. State leaders wanted to ensure that students graduated from high school in any part of the country with the competencies needed for college, career, and life. The Initiative developed an academic standarization for the United States. The development of the Common Core State Standards  shows what can be done when minds join together to help students succeed.
