How Student Choice was assessed...
Prior to each cycle of research students took a pre-survey to assess their initial engagement levels and attitudes towards learning. After each cycle, students took a post-survey that aligned with the pre-survey to gauge how much they felt their engagement increased. The researcher also collected data through classroom observations and by evaluating summative coursework to assess increased student engagement. The data from the surveys, observations, and student work was analyzed to determine the effectiveness of each personalized learning strategy.
