Everybody love choices...especially students!Students at continuation high schools often struggle with engagement. The goal of this project was to find which strategies are the most effective at increasing engagement and to help students feel more involved in their learning and more successful in school.
This study looked specifically at the personalized learning strategies of student choice of topic, summative assessment choice, and group or individual work choice to see which has the greatest impact on increasing student engagement at a continuation high school. There is little to no research on which of these personalized learning strategies work for continuation high school students. This study tries to fill that gap. Knowing which strategies are most effective will help students improve their motivation and success in school and guide teachers in being efficient and effective in their approach. |
