My action research journey involved many overlapping sets of standards. These include the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics with clarity from Achieve the Core. Peer teaching is not just about improving academic skills. It also integrates 21st Century Skills like communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Finally, since I conducted my research in a dual language Spanish-English setting, the Spanish Language Development Standards were also part of the learning that took place.
