1. Click on the above link.
2. Make a copy and rename it according to your phonics focus.
3. I would suggest starting a "Phonics Lessons" folder so you can continue to save and organize them accordingly.
4. Use your district adopted pacing guide and/or curriculum to determine the phonemic pacing for your grade level. (Some programs introduce one letter, sound, and sight word a week, and others vary in the amount introduced per week. Please also make sure to differentiate it for your specific group of learners. For example, there are years where my students are ready for more advanced sounds or just simply a greater amount of sounds/letters/sight words than the suggested pacing.)
5. Select your letter(s), sound(s), and sight word(s) for the week.
6. Use your phonics focuses and the below videos to fill in the template.
Refer to the "Learn More" section in regards to implementing the lessons in your classroom.
Projector: Some way to project your computer screen onto the front of the classroom. (Preferably onto a whiteboard or something you can write on.)
Video Cable (usually VGA): A cable that connects from the computer to the projector - You will often need a second cable that connects from the VGA to the computer.
