Rubrics and other measures for Assessing Blended Writing Station Rotations
Students' writing was graded against this rubric before the first action research cycle, after the first action research cycle, and after the second action research cycle. I further assessed students' skills in capitalizing and ending punctuation.
I also conducted a survey using Quizizz. The pre was their first time using Quizizz, and it generated a lot of excitement. I think the novelty of participating in quizzes for the first time caused their survey responses to be inaccurate. There were several students absent for the post-survey. Also, we had a writing assessment in there too. Lastly, the writing units changed during the action research cycles. As you can see, the survey results are all over the charts. Some cool themes I noticed are how “How much do you like writing?” and “How confident do you feel as a writer?” went up.
