To create my logo design, I began with looking through lists of popular logos to see what the common themes were. What I noticed was that they needed to be simple/clean in design, the color choice was important, and that the fewer words that were used the more powerful the message. I started with the word collaboration which led to creative/creativity and innovate. Since I had three words, I liked the idea of a three sided shape, a triangle. For the color, I wanted something soft so that the picture and words were more. After playing with several different colors, I chose blue. It’s a calming color. It could be the unending sky, or ocean, both have infinite possibilities. For a picture I wanted a set of hands that were ‘all in’ like a team at the end of their game cheering for the team they just played against. I like the one that I found. I felt like the colors used were an example of diversity and after shrinking it down a bit the hands seemed more child like. I made some adjustments after critical friends with my cohort, and I am very pleased with my final logo.
