The single most important reference I could give you is my professional webpage, where I will be keeping a live (constantly updated) version of the Toolbox.  It is also where I keep my professional blog, filled with reflections as I try new things.

I also have my favorite sites listed under "Links", and some amazing reading under "Recommended Reading".  I also have a link to my "Teach It" Pintrest board, filled with ideas for learning activities and strategies, and my Twitter feed.  Finally I have an EdTech Tool List complied by a professor, although I will be editing and adding to it over time.

Canva - an incredible web-based  program that allows you to create professional looking graphics like magazine covers, infographics, and other images.

Lynda - a place to get tutorials on just about any professional skill you can think of.  Great for students or teachers.

Piktochart - a site to make simple infographics easily.

TED-Ed - a collection of TED talks relevant to education.  Great for inspiration.

Screencastify - a Google Chrome extension that allows you to easily make screen capture videos.  I use it for video lectures.

KhanAcademy - Seriously, if you haven't checked this out you really need to.  It started as math tutorials and video lectures.  Now it covers just about everything.  You can make a teacher account and assign homework through it, keeping track of your students' progress.

PrintFriendly - makes a webpage print friendly, so you can, y'know, print it.

Recommended Reading

Common Sense Media (Digital Literacy and Citizenship) - THE place to go for curriculum on digital literacy and citizenship.  Take what you need and work it into your class.

Common Core Tech Skills - the tech standards pulled out of the Common Core State Standards.  Check out where your students should be, and get ideas on how to help them get there.

The Visual Connection - get an idea of how to make your presentations and lectures more engaging by making them more visually appealing.  Most of our students are visual learners, after all.

Teach Like A Champion - a collection of strategies/protocals for the classroom.

Making Thinking Visible - another collection of strategies/protocals for the classroom.

The Flat World and Education - gives the context for the world in which we teach, and the world our students will live in.  It gives a clear idea of what we can learn from other countries, and makes it clear that we need transformation.  Also points out that transformation is far from impossible.

And anything you can get from your local AVID teacher.  Seriously, take anything and everything.
