Research goes sideways. It's the process... 

I could never have predicted the trajectory of our work when Evrim, the art teacher at Valley Oak, and I set out to write a research study.  Initially, we wanted to:

1. Increase our graduation rate
2. Increase our attendance rate

But we wanted to DO that by increasing engagement.

Our strategy? Increase these numbers by finding highly engaging curriculum. We found a "strengths" curriculum offered by the folks at Gallup that students in a high school setting seemed to love. It tells students their strengths:
