Building Student Self-Accountability

As educators, we constantly look for innovative ways to support our student’s growth and to keep up with the ever-changing world of education. Innovation is not games and gimmicks. Innovation is the action or process of innovating. Technology is everywhere; most students use it in all aspects of their lives. How can we use technology to enhance students’ learning experiences by teaching students self-accountability post-pandemic? As William Pollard, a physicist, uniquely stated:

“Learning and innovation go hand in hand. The arrogance of success is to think that what you did yesterday will be sufficient for tomorrow.”

This research took the concept of data-driven instruction performed by teachers. It places it in students’ hands to teach students how to collect, monitor, analyze, and reflect on their data and drive their educational progress to increase engagement and elevate learning.
