TPACK
What is TPACK?
What happened when teachers were offered the TPACK approach?
Teachers in a professional development have been given a short synopsis of how this approach can better enhance technology integration. However, some teachers were very resilient and thought it was too complex. Teachers with a sense of technology integration were open to this idea and could visualize the possibilities of what can come with technology integration as well as their classroom's learning environment. What is TPACK? Educators are given instruction on the process of learning to integrate technology in the classroom. To determine the best approach to addressing the problem, meetings were set with school and district administrators. Permission was obtained to create a bring your own device program. With this innovation, teachers would have sufficient devices in the classroom to begin exploring how to use technology. Parents were engaged. Parents were asked to purchase a ChromeBook or wifi-enabled device with a keyboard to help their child succeed in the classroom. To learn more about TPACK click here! |
