Technology,  is it Impactful in Fitness Goals?

Technology is a huge influence on the lifestyle of students.  Students have used it in many ways such as entertainment, communication with others, active learning, etc.  With the advancement in technology, studies have shown students are exercising less.  They have become sedentary and are not getting enough daily physical activity.  Why not grab their attention by incorporating technology and fitness?

Student Engagement & Motivation

Research indicates that technology can enhance students learning. Moreover, integrating electronic devices in Physical Education classes may expand student’s awareness and enhance student’s engagement within the lesson plan.

Video analysis is a way students can enhance their engagement and learning in physical education.  It can supply instant feedback to motor learning skills.  A pedometer can provide data in student’s step count.  Music can be used as a motivation for a training program.

Whether a teacher wants to find ways to get students engaged and motivated in a fitness activity, my capstone will provide some insights on the impact of technology to fitness goals.
