What's Next? This journey has just begun. I'm looking forward to continuing my heavy work training program to meet IEP goal needs as well as improve my self-confidence. My plan is to continue to study and research new training techniques to help my students grow and succeed in APE, Gen ed PE, and everyday life. I would like to further connect with other APE teachers and discuss the research that I have done. According to my mentor, there are very few individuals utilizing these techniques to meet the needs of their students. I would like to show other APE and PE teachers their other options in conjunction with the way we were formally trained. Another goal I have is to implement Fitness trackers for each of my APE students. I wanted to do this at the beginning of my research, but there were too many hoops to jump through at the time. I'm hoping that in the future I will be able to give each student a tracker to promote physical well-being and encourage an active lifestyle. I currently only see my students bi-weekly. This would give me the opportunity to track their fitness while I'm not with them and hopefully encourage them to get out and do some moderate to rigorous physical activity every day. |

I would like to give thanks to Napa Valley Education Foundation for its continued support of this program. Without their financial contribution, this work would not have been possible. They have now supported me on my journey to becoming an Adapted Physical Education teacher as well as receiving my master's in education.

I would also like to give a huge thanks to Touro and all the amazing teachers that I have had along the way. Each and every one of them taught me so much and encouraged new ways of thinking. Without their continued support, this journey would have been much more difficult.
