Design PROCESS!The slideshow playing above is an insider view to my design process for my Capstone Project. You can tell that my project comes from humble beginnings! I got a bit overwhelmed doing my brainstorming on the computer. I found that the good-old-fashion pen and paper worked best for me! Once I started having ideas I was able to then transfer my thoughts to a Coggle Web. Coggle was an extremely easy program to use and I highly recommend it! Their motto is: A clear way to share complex information.
My logo also had quite the interesting process I went through a lot of different designs and ideas. From the very beginning I knew that I wanted to incorporate the circle shape and that was pretty much all I had. This process was just as intimating to me as my capstone design. I had studied and learned a lot about design, the placement of text, color use, the importance of white space.
A lot of thought went into my final design. Most importantly, I received a lot of feedback from my cohort. The feedback I received was great and taught me the importance of having critical friends! I liked the three color idea that went with my final logo. I felt like it gave me options to play with colors. I also liked that the it is obvious that there are people standing in a circle but it is not in a way you see all the time. The following slide show shows the morphing of what is now my final logo. The changes you see are all because of great feedback and encouragement from my cohort. |
