My process came from dealing with students and Covid-19. It started with Distance Learning and the students not engaging with their teacher. Students during Distance Learning and afterward were not asking for support when they were struggling with their academics. Since our school district was implementing the Second Step program, I was hoping this would help improve students' ability to advocate for themselves so they could ask for the necessary support from their teachers. My audience will be Special Education Teachers, General Education Teachers, and Administrators. The information I am doing my Action Research Project will relate to anyone working with Special education Students.
