The Next Steps in My JourneyMy intention is to return to school motivated to use and share the powerful innovative practices that I have learned from Touro and my colleagues. I plan to put my new design knowledge to work to create visuals that build meaningful learning for my pre-literate, English learners. I plan to share my newly learned tech skills with my staff. They are always looking for ways to make their classrooms more efficient and creative. I am eager to share my Capstone with those on my staff who are interested in mindfulness too.
I have begun creating a Weebly website for my grade level using the skills that I have acquired through the Touro Program. I intend my Shearer Kindergarten Website to be organized for parent use; class information, curriculum, standards, calendars, instructional videos of how to help the student at home, pieces of my Capstone that I think might benefit the families, teacher profiles, projects, photos...I am currently looking into how to make the website bi-lingual. Faculty at my site are encouraged to share their information and teaching with parents through the Parent University. I am committed to teaching parents about the benefits of mindfulness for themselves and their children through this forum. I am looking forward to the implementation of all that I have learned and am eager to share it with others. I am grateful for the Touro experience that was afforded to me through the Napa Learns Project. Appreciation
