Where Did My Thinking Begin?
My class consisted of many students with special needs who were predominantly English Language Learners.
I teach Kindergarten so my students were just learning to read. As I looked at their literacy scores I felt they needed more then just the teaching strategies that were in place for English Language Learners. The strategies were helping but they needed an extra scaffold when it came to literacy and using technology was the scaffold that held their engagement for a longer period of time. I wanted to know what the impact would for my students with the daily use of digital tools to help with literacy learning.
