CASEL SEL Framework

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) has been a leader of the SEL movement since first introducing the term more than two decades ago. Their framework "wheel" is a foundation model for SEL instruction and planning. 

The Empathy Project's focus on building empathy and cultural curiosity supports CASEL's core goals of building self-awareness, social awareness, and relationship skills. By partnering students and classes in collaborative, supportive lessons with others of different backgrounds and cultural contexts, students are building on their SEL foundation.

International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

The unique thing about the ISTE standards are that they provide standards for students and teachers alike. 
The student section of the ISTE Standards describes the skills and knowledge they need to thrive, grow and contribute in a global, interconnected and constantly changing society.
​The educator section of the ISTE Standards defines the digital age skills and pedagogical insights educators need to teach, work and learn.
